Hello my peoples! I know, I know, it’s not Monday. But I have to answer these and I’m pretty sure you guys will survive an extra post. 😉
I was pleasantly surprised to find out that I was tagged by Teen Writers’ Nook (check ’em out – they’re so cool!!) to participate in this All About You Around the Blogosphere thingamabob.
“Erm… Joelle?” you say. “What are you talking about? I don’t even know what a blogosphere is!”
To be perfectly honest, neither do I. XD
Basically I was asked to answer these questions, then tag some more bloggers I know and have them answer these questions. It’s a fun way to get connected and find new followers (and new blogs!). So.
Let it begin. *evil grin*
Rules:
1. Answer the questions below on your blog.
2. Tag at least a couple other bloggers.
3. Have them answer these questions!
Questions:
What’s your favorite book/book series and why?
GAAAH WHY MUST I CHOOSE?!? *fumes* *gives top two* So I really love The Lord of the Rings for obvious reasons. Beyond the beauty of the story and the most satisfying end I have ever read, the plot is worthy of many many star-struck emojis (🤩), the characters are so relatable, the descriptions eloquent, and… HELLO IT’S LORD OF THE RINGS!! Need I say more?
The other has got to be The Wingfeather Saga by Andrew Peterson. They’re SO. GOOD. The characters are more in-depth than Tolkien’s, the plot almost as good, the humor so so so funny (TOOTHY COOOOOOWWWW!!!) and the end only slightly less satisfying than Tolkien’s. Make that imperceptibly less satisfying. Plus Peterson has a great voice and manages to weave Biblical themes and allegories through his whole stories. They’ve impacted me SO deeply I can’t even tell you how much I love them. (Learn more about them here.) Although, I guess if you’ve been around this blog for any amount of time, you can probably tell how much I love Peterson’s work. 🙂
Who is your favorite author?
J.R.R. Tolkien, obviously. And Andrew Peterson. Plus Chuck Black, Gail Carson Levine, N.D. Wilson, S.D. Smith, and Leonard Tarassuk & Claude Blair, who wrote the most amazing encyclopedia I’ve ever read. And I’m reading it cover-to-cover. So. That’s saying something. 🙂
What is your favorite food?
NOOO ANOTHER IMPOSSIBLE QUESTION!! Erm, crunchy beef bake (a casserole with noodles, hamburger, French fried onions, and most importantly, CHEESE), mashed potatoes with buttermilk gravy and chicken fried steak or fried chicken, ice cream (of course), hamburgers… etc, etc. AND I can’t forget to mention those delicious banana-flavored popsicles that taste nothing like banana but are heavenly all the same. And Captain Crunch. And I’m rambling. XD
What gives you inspiration for your books?
Everything. Pictures (especially mystical ones), random things people say, the Bible, nature, boredom, and dreams especially. Don’t get me started on dreams. XD
If you could live anywhere, where would it be?
Does this have to be real-world? ‘Cause I’d pick the good ol’ USA. But if it isn’t real-world, then either Middle-earth (ELVSES AND DWARVSES AND SWORDSES PRECIOUS!), Aerwiar (I repeat: TOOTHY COOOOOOWWWW!!!) or VaSerBo (my own world). 😀
Are you an introvert or an extrovert?
Hrm. According to those finnicky online tests, I’m like 40% extroverted and 60% introverted, but I honestly think I lean to the more extroverted side. 🙂
If you had a warning label, what would yours say?
BEWARE: WEIRD PERSON!

Enter at your own risk, for I am in book mode!!
