“Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, whose people he has chosen for his own.”
Psalm 33:12
First off: HAPPY (late) INDEPENDENCE DAY!! I’m so so so blessed to be able to live in this amazing country!
Yesterday my pastor preached on the topic of freedom – both spiritual and physical. He made some really good points and asked several questions I found thought-provoking. Thus, I decided to share my notes with you today. 😉
Questions about Freedom
How important is your freedom to you?
Do you know what your freedom cost?
Is your freedom threatened?
What are you willing to do to keep your freedom?
What will you do to bring freedom to others?
How do you define freedom?
Have you misunderstood freedom?
Does your freedom come with obligations?
Which is more important – physical or spiritual freedom?
Points about Freedom
It can be argued that God is the only truly free being in the entire universe. He’s not bound by laws of any kind – physical, mental, natural, federal, etc.
You are free to serve in love. (Yay!)
Freedom is not the absence of law.
Christ walked in the freedom of love.
So go forth, revel in your independence, and walk in the freedom of love. 🙂
