MBTI Stereotypes: the Basics (part 2)

Welcome back to Joelle's Nerdiness! Today we're going to explore the stereotypes of the Analysts, which are essentially the smarts behind the 16 personalities. In case you're confused, check out this post first to help you get your bearings as to what's going on. XD If you're not confused, great! You probably will be by the time this post is over. :P

Ahem. Anyway. Let's begin, shall we?

ENTJ: the Commander

Workaholic. That's pretty much the one word that describes the ENTJ stereotype the best. XD They're committed to their jobs, great (though sometimes tyrannical) managers, and know how to get things done. They're always working on something or another and rarely have any idea how emotions work.

Stereotypically, an ENTJs flaws include being a control freak, running over other people and their emotions to succeed at their job, and lacking the ability to accept a following role instead of a leading one.

ENTJ Examples: Saruman from Lord of the Rings, Scar from The Lion King, and Gale from The Hunger Games

ENTJ Memes:

(Guys, why is it so hard to find good ENTJ memes?!? *fp*)

ENTP: the Debater

ENTPs are called the Debater for a very good reason: they simply cannot pass up a good conflict. Say "controversial topic" and you'll get a horde of them at your doorstep (not literally, of course). They're most energetic when engaged in a debate, friendly or otherwise, and as such can be disliked by more peace-keeping personalities such as the ISFJ and INFJ. They're highly entertaining in fiction and tend to be rather oblivious to what's going on around them (unless someone is arguing).

ENTPs have the same distractability problem as the ENFPs and are master procrastinators. They don't see the value in doing something they don't think will be of use to them in the future and are willing to stick to that opinion until you prove them otherwise (good luck). They're logical and totally willing to tread over someone else's feelings if it means getting what they would like.

ENTP Examples: Jack Sparrow from Pirates of the Caribbean, Kuzco from The Emperor's New Groove, and Edmund Pevensie from The Chronicles of Narnia

ENTP Memes:

INTP: the Logician

This is your classic nerd. Quiet, but as smart as they come. Socially awkward, but a whiz at whatever subject interests them (which are a lot). Reclusive (to the point that people forget they exist), but superfans on the internet. They also make very good hackers, by the way. In case you were looking for someone to take that job. :P (Random fact: for whatever reason, NASA has become the stereotypical INTP's logo. XD)

Like I already mentioned, INTPs can stereotypically struggle with human interaction. Social events are horrors, and actually having to carry on a conversation with someone is worse. They're also procrastinators and aren't really even sure what motivation is.

INTP Examples: Hero Hadashi from Big Hero 6, Professor Kirk from The Chronicles of Narnia, and Haymitch from The Hunger Games

INTP Memes:

(*dies* Why are INTP memes twice as hard to find as the ENTJs? *dies again*)

INTJ: the Architect

Quiet, intimidating, dark, mysterious. These are all words that describe the INTJ stereotype, which explains why so many villains in books and movies are INTJ. XD They're calm and calculated, one of the seemingly smartest types out there. INTJs are extensive planners (hence the avatar standing over a strategy table/board/thing in the picture XD), with not only a fully functional battle plan for 30 years in the future, but six or seven as-detailed backup plans stored in their brain as well.

A social INTJ is a rare thing. They miss most of the social cues and fail to see how saying the blunt and obvious truth sometimes isn't the best way to survive a social interaction. Stereotypically, they're also completely emotionless. XD

INTJ Examples: Gandalf from Lord of the Rings, Plutarch from The Hunger Games, and Gill from Finding Nemo

INTJ Memes:

There you have it! These are the NTs, our Analyst friends who keep the world alive through their brains, mostly. :P Are any of you guys Analysts? Did this make sense? Do you know any analysts? Which meme was your favorite? Which character is your favorite from the examples?

Until next time,

Take courage, pursue God, and smile while you still have teeth!! ^_^

I love MBTI types! This is a really cool post! I'm pretty sure I know an ENTP in real life... and he definitely likes to argue. 😂

Lol, I love the NT types!!! So...not me. 😜 Perhaps that's the intrigue 😂 That's so true, though, about the lack of good ENTJ memes... *sighs* You did a great job finding all the ones you shared!!
